Our favourite pet-friendly hotels in the world

First stop, Down Under. At The Langham Sydney you can enjoy spectacular city or bay views, with you furry friend by your side. As well boasting a pool, a spa, tennis courts a hot tub and more besides, cats and dogs are welcome guests. Result.

From Australia, it’s just a hop, skip and a flight north to Japan and the Hotel Chinzanso, Tokyo. Set within an historic Japanese garden it’s the very definition of tranquil. The spa treatments and hot-spring baths are not to be missed. And neither is your pet, because he or she will be right there with you.

Take a minute to catch your breath, because our next destination is stunning Cape Town and something a little bit different. Not a hotel this time, but the luxurious Cartwrights Apartments. You and your pet can relax on the balcony and simply drink in views of Table Mountain.

Up next is Argentina and a chance for you and your travel companion to discover your Latin spirit in the vibrant capital. Don’t be put off by the name A&E Buenos Aires. It’s no accident this is a firm favourite with pet owners. After a busy day livin’ la vida loca it’s the perfect place relax and recharge your batteries.

We don’t want to be presumptuous, but we’re pretty sure the Rosewood Hotel Georgia, Vancouver will leave you purring “Oh Canada”. A few highlights are the saltwater pool, the gym and the mouth-watering Cocktails from the bar. And your dog or cat can expect a welcome every bit as warm as the one you’re sure to receive.

Finally to Europe and Spain’s famous capital, Madrid. The historic 18th century Catalonia Las Cortes is not only beautifully boutique-y, it’s only a fifteen minute walk from Parque del Retiro – a top spot for sightseeing and, of course, walkies. What a way to finish our world tour of pet friendly hotels.

No need for applaws, but we hope you enjoyed the ride. Our next people and pets article will be out soon.
